COVID-19: Quebec reports 124 fewer hospitalizations | Coronavirus

Public health in Quebec reports a sharp drop in hospitalizations attributable to COVID-19, with 124 fewer hospital beds occupied by people infected with the virus. A total of 1,557 infected individuals are currently being treated in hospital, including 531 due to COVID-19.

Still according to the government, the number of infected people treated in intensive care has increased by 1, to reach a total of 34, including 19 due to COVID-19.

In all, 3,189 healthcare workers are absent for reasons related to COVID (preventive withdrawal, isolation, waiting for results, etc.).

Public health also reports 613 new cases of contamination, for a total of 1,181,744 people infected since the outbreak of the crisis in Quebec. It should be noted, however, that these data may be imprecise, since supervised screening tests are reserved for certain priority groups.

In terms of vaccination, 2,581 doses administered are added, for a total of 20,808,154 doses administered in Quebec.
